OPENING: Meeting called to order @ 8:22pm. President
Paul Jusino led the Pledge of Allegiance and asked for a moment of silence in
memory of Dolores Sproul. President
Jusino then introduced Commodore Tim Horton who welcomed the delegates and
thanked the Entertainment Committee for cooking the food. Once again, Bordentown will host a day for
airmen and provide them with a memorable
time, giving them the respect and relaxation they deserve before they ship out. Juice made mention of the officers of
Bordentown for attending so many openings and most were made by boat.

COMMITTEE REPORTS
President: Juice thanked everyone for coming. He mentioned that he and Mary attended many
openings this year. Juice thanked John
Maloney and the three princesses who attended Delaware River Day at Penn’s
Landing.
1st Vice
President:
John Maloney – thanked the princesses for a great job with the face painting at
Delaware River Day. They also handed out
yearbooks and DRYL information.
2nd Vice
President:
Butch Gricco – no report.
3rd Vice
President:
Steve Zielinski – no report.
Secretary: Rick Patton – DRYL brochures are available
Bill
Garwood mentioned a “tugboat ballet” that took place at Delaware River Day at
Penn’s Landing. It was really something
great to watch.
Audit & Budget: Bill Branchide – no
report.
Banquet: Mary Jusino – no report
Cruise: Bob Grace – 2009 cruise will be July 11 – 17.
Itinerary and application are on the website. We still have a couple of
openings left. Juice will be adding Bed & Breakfast accommodations to the
DRYL website for those who may be driving to meet us.
Donations – no requests.
Fleet Surgeon: Harry Borgersen – no report.
NJ Legislation: John Honer – Boat
certification went into effect as of June 1, 2009. Currently, no movement on any bills pending -
some discussion on ethanol issues.
Nothing really going on.
Discussion opened by Bill Garwood concerning NJ Tidelands Management
Commission with reference to fees for mooring fields being reviewed
Pageant: Toni Nespola – Introduced princesses in
attendance. 10 princesses going to be in
this year’s pageant. Group of princesses
will be travelling to Chesapeake for their Queen’s Pageant. In an effort to cut cost, the princess lunch
at Dave & Busters has been changed to a luncheon on the dock for the
girls. Toni is asking for donations of
paper goods or whatever to help with the lunch.
Also, she is looking for burgee donations for the stage set and looking
for ads to be placed in program book.
All buttons, shirt, ticket and ad sales are due by July meeting. Docking sheets must be completed legibly.
Picnic: Marie Houseworth – Flyer was distributed with information
about picnic.
Public Affairs: Bill Garwood – no report.
Regatta: Fred Saunders – no report.
Safe Boating: Frank Gilbert – Article on
pilot error that covers recent boating accident and how to possibly avoid
accidents.
Shoreline Planning: Joe Campbell – no report.
Webmaster: Paul Jusino/Ben Lewitt – Site is being
updated weekly.
Yearbook: Denise Leo – Invoices were sent out. Still collecting money.
Boater Voter: Joe Campbell – no report.
CBYCA: Bob Williams – no report.
National
Boating Federation (NBF): Bob Williams – no report.
Pennsylvania Boating
Association - SE (PBA): Bill Garwood – Apologies for PBA and PBS/SE meeting being cancelled
last month. Next meeting for PBA/SE is
the third Wednesday in September (9/16) at Anchor YC.

List of DRYL events has been sent to insurance company for event
coverage. Waiting for certificate.

· $26.48 – Recording Secretary for copies
· FSA got permission from Coast Guard to fire off some old flares at their Thursday night meeting.

REPORTS
Checkbook
opening balance for May was $10,312.84.
Financial secretary reported income of $1,537.00 while Phyllis Blackeby
reported disbursements of $837.29, resulting in a checkbook closing balance of
$11,012.55. A motion was made, seconded and approved to pay the bills.
